Gurney Slade is on the A37 between Bristol and Glastonbury. 

If you are driving south down the A37 when you get to the post office at Gurney Slade,
Turn in behind the post office, there are 2 roads, take the one sign posted Stratton on the Fosse (do not turn off before the post office even though you see a sign saying Stratton on the Fosse, you will end up at a different pub called The George at Nettlebridge this is not were you want to be), Behind the post office,on the road signposted to Stratton on the Fosse, you will know you are on the right road as you will pass a quarry on the left.

The house Brooksmeet is on this very road, go on through the woods,  after you go down a steep hill, its the white house on the left, on the gate it says Penny Mill Farm.
